Some of our involvements with the Stanford community include putting on fun events for students to learn about hepatitis B, bringing new knowledge about the issue to their daily conversations, and raising money for hepatitis B education and medical research.
Team HBV's Plushie-Making Event was held on Thursday February 12th in Old Union 200. Around 40 Stanford students came to the event with friends to make cute plushies. There was a large assortment of food, from brie cheese to sugar cookies, and everyone was gathered around the couches in Old Union cutting felt, stuffing their plushies, and sewing their plushies together. We also handed out pamphlets describing Team HBV and it's general mission to all attendees. This was a spectacular social event to combine HBV awareness with Stanford's student community.
